Chelsea is trying to make a late move for the striker Victor Osimhen amid a January transfer. But, still, he wants to stay in Istanbul.
VICTOR OSIMHEN LOVES TURKEY
Victor Osimhen still wants to stay in Turkey. However, there were talks surrounding a break clause in his deal with Galatasaray.
Galatasaray has signed a season-long loan with Osimhen. He is in for a long-term loan in Galatasaray.
Chelsea attempted to make a late call for Osimhen on deadline. They were unable to complete the transfer.
With the Turkish window remaining open, Galatasaray pushed a loan deal. However, the wide report said that the deal could be cut short.
One of the teams meets the star’s reported £ 63 million. The release clause shall be there when January rolls around.
Their interest is still set for the summer. There has been talk that Chelsea could potentially reignite the push. It will continue till the opening of the January transfer window opens. However, it seems like the player has his eyes on Galatasaray.
CHELSEA STILL LOOKING FOR JANUARY
Chelsea are still continuing to be linked with Victor. They are still keeping an eye for him until the January.
The Blues have always been trying to sign the striker. For several transfer windows, they attempted to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge last summer.
As we all know, Osimhen has already become the favorite in Istanbul. In his nine matches, he has scored eight goals along with four assists.
The Nigerian has even scored a brace in his latest two appearances- including two goals in the Europa League. Moreover, he has even scored during the international break in the 1-1 draw against Benin.
The reason for this desperate move of Chelsea is that they need an attacker. Victor seems to be the perfect candidate. Though many clubs are looking at the January transfer window, it continues to say that Chelsea is still linked with a transfer.
The Nigerian international has been incredible in Istanbul. This has created a magnetic force for the Blues. This might be causing them to be a potential destination for him.
The Napoli forward is currently the Blues’ top priority. Unfortunately, they were unable to seal the deal.
Osimhen was finally exiled from Napoli once the deal fell through. This is the reason why Galatasaray was able to sign him on loan.
As reports say, Napoli has a break clause in his deal which means they can recall him in January and sell him elsewhere.
CHELSEA STILL WANTS VICTOR
It’s claimed that the Italian club will be ‘desperate’ to receive a decent fee for the prolific striker rather than lose him for free when his contract expires in 2026.
Osimhen reportedly has a new reduced release clause of £63.3m in his contract and Chelsea could trigger it in January if they feel a new striker is a priority at that point.
Chelsea are ‘closely monitoring’ Osimhen’s situation but they ‘are expected to be joined in their pursuit by many elite clubs across Europe and the Middle East when his price tag lowers.’
Napoli’s valuation was not a problem for Chelsea this summer and the deal collapsed purely because of Osimhen’s wage demands.
It has been suggested that the Nigerian forward wanted £400,000 per week to join the Blues and while the London side made an excellent offer on personal terms, it still didn’t match what he wanted.
We understand that the Blues remain interested though, a move could depend on how Nicolas Jackson, Joao Felix, and Christopher Nkunku perform up front in the next few months.
