The Brazilian’s new deal with Real Madrid will reportedly include an £860m release clause

Vinicius Junior is having the time of his life at Real Madrid right now. He has won the Champions League and the La Liga with Los Blancos. He was a key player for Real Madrid in the 2021-2022 season. Vinicius Jr scored 22 goals and has had 20 assists in his 52 appearances in the Real Madrid colors.

This amazing performance with Los Blancos has made Real desperate to get him to sign a new contract with the club. The 21-year-old has two years remaining in his contract with Real Madrid. However, he has spoken openly about signing a new contract with the club and Real Madrid are more than happy to comply.

Reportedly, the Brazilian is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club. This new contract comes with an improved wage packet and a substantial rise in the release clause. According to Marca, The release clause is to be set at  €1bn (£860m).

Vinicius Jr is the future of the Real Madrid attack

Real Madrid signed a contract to acquire Vinicius Junior in 2017. He transferred for a reported fee of €46 million, which was at the time, the second most expensive sale of a player in the history of Brazilian football. Vinicius made his debut for Real Madrid’s first team in 2018. Vinicius was only 18 years of age at that time. Los Blancos beat many top clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United to sign the player

Since then he has become one of the prominent members of the first team. Vinicius has scored 36 goals and registered 43 assists in 170 appearances for Los Blancos He ended the 2021-22 season as Real Madrid’s second-best goal scorer behind Karim Benzema.

Vinicius Jr is the future of the Real Madrid attack and they will be keen on giving him a new contract as soon as possible. Marca has reported that the new contract will be till 2026. The contract will also triple his salary, making him one of the best-paid players on the squad.
