West Ham are inching closer to a possible double signing

West Ham

Jesse Lingard and Amadou Onana on the verge of joining West Ham United this summer.

West Ham are confident of signing both Amadou Onana and Jesse Lingard this summer. The Hammers have made an offer to Lille for Onana the last weekend. The offer is reported to be worth £30million including various add ons. Meanwhile, optimism is growing around the club regarding the arrival of Jesse Lingard. He will announce a decision regarding his future the next week.

Onana is pushing for a move to the Premier League this season. The 20 year old has massively impressed with his stellar performances in Ligue 1. He has had 31 appearances for Lille the previous season. Moreover, he also played all eight of Lille’s Champions League matches in their last campaign.

He will be the third arrival from France this summer for West Ham. David Moyes has already signed Nayef Aguerd and Alphonse Areola. Aguerd joins West Ham from Rennes whereas Areola joins from PSG. West Ham are consolidating their central midfield this summer. Flynn Downes arrived from Swansea this summer. Moreover, Onana’s arrival will go a long way in strengthening the middle of the pitch.

Cryptic Jesse Lingard post regarding his future

Jesse Lingard has dropped a major hint about his future in his Instagram story. He has shared a cryptic story of a takeaway shop called the “Chicken Run”. He also included the caption “if you know, you know” with it. Chicken Run is the name given to the East Stand of the old home of the Hammers, Uptown Park. This is the biggest hint on Lingard rejoining the Hammers for a second spell. Lingard had a brilliant spell on loan with the Hammers last season. He scored nine goals in sixteen matches for the Hammers last season.

West Ham are also interested in Chelsea rising star Armando Broja this summer. The Evening standard has linked West Ham with Broja, Onana and Lingard. The three arrivals will massively strengthen the squad if the Hammers are successful in pulling off a deal for them.
