West Ham could be looking to sign a new manager for the next season

West Ham United’s current manager, David Moyes will be out of contract after the 2023/24 season ends. The game against Manchester City on 19th May could be his last game with the Hammers. Moreover, after West Ham’s exit from the Europa League, the fans are calling for a manager with a more attacking style of play. Speculations of David Moyes’ successors have risen. Furthermore, one manager who will excite the Hammer’s supporters is Maurizio Sarri. The Italian manager resigned as the S.S Lazio head coach on 12th March 2024. Therefore, he could be open to offers that come his way and could move to the Premier League. Although there is no final decision yet, Sarri could come in to replace David Moyes at West Ham.

The Hammers are not the only ones keeping an eye on Maurizio Sarri

According to reports, the Italian manager is considering offers after resigning as Lazio’s head coach. However, West Ham are not the only club in the race for him. Sarri has also gotten offers from other clubs including Newcastle United. Another Premier League club that sent an offer for him was Nottingham Forest, however, Sarri did not accept it. Despite this, reports state that the Italian manager wants to come to the Premier League. Additionally, a move to West Ham could be beneficial to both, the club as well as the manager. Maurizio Sarri’s style of play will give West Ham more depth. Moreover, the Hammers could make several new signings in the upcoming summer window. Although nothing is finalized, Sarri could make a huge difference to West Ham if he takes up the managerial role.
