The France international has been a wall for Arsenal’s defence. But his stay with them is in doubts now. Sky Sports reports that Real Madrid have made him a top priority for the next season.
As Madrid are looking to strengthen their backline due to regular injuries. They are currently looking for a centre-back who will be quick to adapt. Saliba’s name is at the top in their list.
As per multiple reports, the talks between the Los Blancos and William’s agents have already taken place. That news may add more pain to the Gunners fans.
The 23-year-old has been key to his teams dominating performances throughout the season. His partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes is solid. Although being a vital part of Mikel Arteta’s system, Saliba seems to be excited to join the European giants.
Should the Frenchman makes his mind to leave, the Gunners will be asking for a huge fee for his exit. That price tag will likely be a record-breaking amount. They value their star at £100 million. This move might break the current record for the most expensive defender transfer.
