Willian shares his experience of the London rivals

Former Premier League star Willian did not hesitate to explain his feelings. His past experiences regarding the leave from Chelsea to Arsenal.

WILLIAN’S REGRET

Willian left the Blues in the summer of 2020. He joined the Gunners as a free agent. The Brazilian would go on to play just one season at the Emirates ground.

The underrated baller has only made 37 appearances in his only season at Arsenal. He said that he didn’t enjoy his time during the Gunner period.

After one season, he went to the Brazilian club. During that time, he decided to speak of the Gunners. He wanted to leave the club within 3 months.

He wanted to leave the club as silently as possible. Arsenal did not match his playing style. He wanted to get back to his usual freedom. But he couldn’t.

WILLIAN’S JOURNEY

He was the uprising Blue wonder kid who played and won 2 Premier Leagues with Chelsea. But apparently, his form got depleted when he started for Arsenal. 339 appearances for Chelsea, he scored 63 goals and 57 assists.

He was a talented young player who won Copa America with Brazil. His skills, speed, and agility made him special. His talent already started to grow in Shakhtar. He won 5 Ukrainian titles with Shakhtar. His journey to greatness had already begun.

Willian became the Europa League champion with Shakhtar in 2008. He already become a wonder kid. The Premier League loved that kid. Chelsea then went on to sign Willian in 2013.

The next season of his debut, Willian already was shining the brightest in the blue. They went on to become the Premier League champion. The fans were loving Willian and he was enjoying his time.

In 2015, Willian went on to take Chelsea to win the English League Cup. He was a crucial part of the squad during the campaign. Even in the Champions League, he scored 10 goals for Chelsea. And 8 goals for Shakhtar. He instantly became a favorite of the fans.

Willian took Chelsea to their glory in 2016 by winning another Premier League title. He continues to go on and win the FA Cup.

Willian instantly became an uprising star in the making. Unfortunately, the Brazilian kid left the Blues to join the Gunners as a free agent.

THE UNLUCKY STAR

If he had stayed in Chelsea, he would have been a part of the 2021 Champions League underrated run which they won. Willian would have finally won the trophy and completed his European cabinet. But it’s all luck, some are lucky, some are not. That’s football.

Everything changed for him when he entered the Emirates stadium. He lost that spark he had in Chelsea. Arsenal did not match his playstyle.

He did not like the atmosphere and the fans. But, he did not want to disrespect the club. He just wanted to escape from that labyrinth. As the more days went by, Willian slowly started to fade. He suddenly felt the regret of leaving Chelsea.

Willian returned after playing with Corinthians and joined Fulham. He started to get together himself what was lost. He was happy that he was back in the Premier League and also not playing for Arsenal.

Willian still regrets and always questions himself what if he stayed at Chelsea? But, apparently playing for two seasons for Fulham. Willian joined a Greek club named Olympiacos as a free agent. And just like that Willian’s underrated story comes to an end.
