Test Cricket is back for West Indies. They are going to play against Australia after a long gap of 6 years. It will be played in Australia and it is going to be 2 match test series. Perth is ready to host these exciting matches. Windies skipper advises and wants to prepare their players for the pace and bouncy pitches of Perth.

Carlos Brathwaite about the first test of the tour

Brathwaite states,

“We want to bat [for] 100 overs, the main focus is to have discipline. We have batsmen that can get on with it, so it’s not to stop them. It’s for them to do the processes throughout the entire innings. It’s not to change anyone’s game. I think [batting] time is always great to have in Test cricket… to believe they can do it. We know Australia is a superior team. We have to play ten days of hard cricket, that’s our main focus. We know Test cricket is real cricket. As a team, we want to do well for the Caribbean, and want youngsters to play Test cricket for West Indies. Obviously we were great in the past, and we use it as motivation to get to that level. If we stick together as a group, we can improve and get to those great levels.”

The World Test Championship finals are near. Australia are leading the tables and they want to make their position more firm. Whereas West Indies will try to improve. The match is going to play in Perth which means fast bowlers will have a good time over there. According to the skipper, they want to set the benchmark for the young cricketers as test cricket is the real test. They want to improve as a team and have to play their best to match the superiority of the Aussies. He added that they are motivated and proud of their past and old cricketers.
