India wicketkeeper and former Bengal player, Wriddhiman Saha has formally joined Tripura today.

He signed all the official documents that led to his entry into the north-eastern state for the 2022-23 domestic season.

Saha’s decision to leave Bengal was due to a senior administrator’s remarks for him during the 2021-22 season.

This is why he signed up for a NOC.

The CAB has given him the NOC just last month.

Saha had also been in constant talks about joining Tripura as skipper-cum-mentor.

This new chapter in Saha’s life has ended his 15 years with Bengal officially.

Also, Saha will most likely not feature in any of India’s future scheme of things which was communicated to him by the team management last year.

However, Saha has stated that he will continue to play other forms of cricket despite the national axe.

Saha currently is with Gujarat Titans who became champions this season for the first time.

If we take a look at Tripura’s stats, then last season, they made it to the knockout stages of the 50-over Vijay Hazare Trophy but failed to make it to the knockouts of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
