Young Chelsea Star Set to Spearhead Attack Alongside Cole Palmer Against Burnley

Chelsea’s return to Premier League action is finally approaching as they will play again at Stamford Bridge tomorrow. With time running out to push for a European spot before the next season, Chelsea takes on Burnley at Stamford Bridge. When choosing his squad, Mauricio Pochettino will consider who is currently fit for the club. However, he will be overjoyed to see that Cole Palmer is back in the mix following his scare during his international duty.

Palmer starring for Chelsea

Plamer was named on the substitute roster for the second of England’s two friendlies, but he did not play for the national team. But when the Blues return to action tomorrow, his 28 goals and 28 assists for his club will make him an indispensable part of the squad.

Right now, he is not the only name on the teamsheet that can be relied upon. Following his brilliant performance at the African Cup of Nations, Nicolas Jackson has returned to the team.

Jackson’s Key Role: Crucial Contribution Expected Against Burnley

Jackson has started the team’s last seven games, and only one of those has he not assisted or scored. Despite not scoring a goal in their most recent match of Chelsea against Leicester City, he had an unrivaled attacking influence on the team. Palmer and Jackson are starting to really understand each other’s games at the moment. This has been a major factor in the majority of the recent form turnaround.

Chelsea currently has two options if they want to end the season with a confirmed spot in Europe. One of those is winning the FA Cup. However, they know full well that to do that, they’ll probably have to defeat both Manchester teams at Wembley. With their sights on Premier League qualification, they must kickstart with consecutive wins starting this Saturday.
