Chelsea looking to sell Hudson-Odoi in the summer

Pochettino

Chelsea are now looking to offload Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in the summer to make space for other new signings.

Many believed in Cobham Academy that Hudson-Odoi has all the talent to have a successful future. But he didn’t match the expectations. The 22-year-old now plays for Bayern Leverkusen in Bundesliga under Xabi Alonso.

Former manager Thomas Tuchel didn’t much believe in the player’s ability and therefore looked for other alternatives to start in the team sheet. Hudson-Odoi played a few matches under Tuchel in a side-back role, which felt completely alien to him.

Many supporters thought that getting encouragement from New Owner Todd Boehly before leaving out on loan would help him. Boehly also told him to express himself in this opportunity. But it’s so far unclear what opinion current manager Graham Potter holds of Hudson-Odoi available for selection in the club.

HUDSON-ODOI EARNS MORE THAN NEW SIGNEE MYKHAILO MUDRYK

Chelsea’s new signee Mykhailo Mudryk earns less than Callum Hudson-Odoi in his current contract wage, due to this Chelsea will look to offload him in the summer.

Chelsea have spent a huge amount of money in the January transfer window as they bought Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk and the young star Noni Madueke.

Reports suggest that the Ukrainian earns less than Hudson-Odoi and this can be a worrying sign for the Club. As wages are something that clubs look to keep down after big money spending in both the transfer window.

Hudson-Odoi’s current contract expires in 2024 and Chelsea will look to sell him to get some money back from it.
