They worked on real T20 strategy challenges, scenarios they rarely get access to within professional decision-making environments.
IPL’s First Fan-Led Analytics Shift
This is the first major league invasion of fans into an IPL franchise analytics system through the hackathon. It is indicative of a change to a more open, cooperative and innovative approach to the workings of the cricket. Rajasthan Royals gained a greater level of engagement and expanded the talent pool by putting its faith in fan intelligence. The action also underscored the fact data science has become an immensely important tool in contemporary cricketing planning and auction strategy.
SupeRR Selector Tests Auction & Squad Building
Rajasthan Royals have been using analytics as a source of competitive advantage over the years in the IPL. The SupeRR Selector that was developed on that basis provided students, young professionals and early-career analysts with a structured platform. The finalists optimised predictive models, explored squad combinations and pitched them to top-level franchise leaders. Their work reflected the challenges teams face during real auctions and season planning.
SupeRR Selector Tests Real Auction Scenarios
There were three artisers of the gravitas and perspicacity. During the league auction, they will come to Abu Dhabi as the fan representatives of Rajasthan Royals. The winners also will deliver their thoughts in the direct approach to Kumar Sangakkara and Giles Lindsay. The franchise intends to develop more such programs, and innovate over time with fans leading on the way. This program may have impact on how teams engage the supporters in the process of strategy, scouting and making decisions in the global T20 leagues.
