Former Chelsea player Ramires thinks that N’Golo Kante deserves to be among the world’s best players. Kante has won yet another trophy after a blockbuster win against Manchester City.

The 30-year-old French international put up yet another defensive masterclass as his side gifted Thomas Tuchel his first-ever Champions League. Now, as the focus shifts towards the Euros 2020, Kante has another trophy on his sights for France.

The energetic, box-to-box midfielder is tipped to win the Ballon d’Or after his much-deserved performance in the UEFA Champions League final.

Kante should end up at least in the top three footballers mentions Ramires

FIFA bestows the Ballon d’Or award to the world’s best footballer according to on-field performance and overall behavior of the player as per its rules of allocation. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have dominated this trophy, winning 11 trophies in total.

Additionally, winning a Ballon d’Or is rare for a defensive midfielder or any of the defensive players. However, as per the Blues legend Ramires, N’Golo Kante could be in the top three nominees if he wins the Euros 2020 after winning the Champions League recently.

While speaking to Mais Futebol, he praised Kante and was extremely pleased about his performance. He said,

“He’s an extraordinary player. He’s in every corner of the field. On defence, in the middle, in attack, on the sides. He’s among the best in the world.”

The Frenchman is living in his dreams as his exceptional performances guarantee him trophies. He won the 2016 Premier League with Leicester City and then a year later with Chelsea. Kante also won a World Cup for his national team and now, a Champions League with the London club. Now, he looks like a serious contender for the most glamorous individual price that every footballer dreams of!

But, last season Ballon d’Or was called off due to the disrupted season and hopefully, it would take place this season at least.
