Manchester United are prioritizing offering new contracts to midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.

Kicking off the 2021-22 campaign, the two have exploded out of the blocks. Fernandes has already found the net 4 times in 4 Premier League games this term, while Pogba has racked up 7 assists.

Bruno Fernandes is close to agreeing a new bumper deal with the Red Devils. Meanwhile, with speculation surrounding Pogba, it seems like he is edging for an extension.

Fernandes was recently been joined by compatriot, Cristiano Ronaldo. He is working on extending his stay at Old Trafford, after interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. The playmaker’s contract expires in 2025, but the club want to reward him with an upgraded deal.

The 27-year-old will agree on a new contract which will see him pocket £250,000-a-week. This figure is almost £100,000 more than his current pay. The deal could be announced in the next few weeks.

The Portuguese’s new deal will see him tied down until 2026. The new contract also sees him earn a hefty pay rise.

Coming to Paul Pogba, the Frenchman’s deal expires at the end of the season, so naturally Solskjaer is keen to open talks with the enigmatic midfielder.

Recent reports claim Ronaldo’s return has seen the French international perform a U-turn over his future and is now ‘leaning towards’ extending his stay.

The 2018 World Cup winner has continued the good form he showed for his country at Euro 2020 over the summer. He has, by no means, let his standards drop. In United’s 4-1 win over Newcastle, Pogba assisted 3 of the 4 goals.
