Chelsea have agreed to sell Xavier Simmons to Championship side Hull City on a permanent move.

Simmons has been on loan at Hull City this season. A deal was almost finalized on the deadline day of the January transfer window to convert the move into a permanent one. However, Hull City missed the deadline.

Both Chelsea and Hull City officials are working on striking a deal for Simmons to make the move permanent. Eventually, the deal is almost completed ahead of the summer window.

Current Premier League Standings

As reported by Nizar Khilafi and Hull Live, a transfer fee has been agreed and the player looks eager to join the club. Despite, the 20-year-old has made only four appearances for Liam Rosenier’s team this season.

SIMMONS WILL LIKE TO SUCCEED IN PREMIER LEAGUE

Speaking to Hull Live, Simmons stated:-

“Liam’s been open to me and said how much he wants me here at the club moving forwards.

“I see the project, and I believe in it, and that’s to get us back in the Premier League.

“I want to play a part in that. It’s between both clubs now to sort things out, when that is I don’t know, but I’m ready whenever.”

However, Simmons further added:-

“Yes, of course. I want to be here, I want to get the club back in the Prem and it’s between the two clubs now.

“You could say it’s a brave move. The situation with Chelsea, I don’t really see a pathway there for me now, and coming here is men’s football at an amazing club playing football the way I want to play, so my development, it’s going to be amazing.

“The ambition for where the club is going to be is where I want to be.”

The Final agreement will be soon agreed in the coming weeks.
