Arsenal are now favourites to sign Moises Caicedo as Brighton & Hove Albion FC sign his replacement, according to reports.

The Gunners saw there bids get rejected in the January as reports suggests there offer were worth up to £60 million. But the Seagulls rejected all advances, insisting that Caicedo is not for sale.

Caicedo later signed a contract which will keep him at Amex until 2027. However that haven’t stopped Arsenal in their pursuit as they are expected to reignite their interest this summer.

Arsenal have a huge chance to sign Caicedo this time as Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi already found his replacement. The Seagulls signed Mahmoud Dahoud from Borrusia Dortmund, who will join the team in the summer.

According to Football Insider, Dahoud have already complete his medical as Brighton are finalising the deal. While the reports also states that the Seagulls view the 27-year-old as natural replacement for Caicedo.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed the transfer and said:-

“I know very well Dahoud but it’s not official at the moment.

“We will speak about him at the next press conference.”

De Zerbi also revealed that he is keen on bringing Dahoud to Premier League and further stated:-

“Yes, because it is not a secret that I like him and I would like to work with him.”

However, Caicedo wants to play in the Champions League at his new club and Arsenal have qualified for the European competitions for the first time in 6 years. Hence, this looks like a perfect moment for both.
