Andrew Robertson praised for his display on International Duty

Scottish national team

Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson is in outstanding reign of form for Scotland at Euro 2024 championship qualifiers this week.

Robertson is among the best full-backs in the world currently. He started on the left side of the midfield four against Cyprus on Saturday.

Scotland played a formation of 3-4-2-1 as they won the match on the scoreline of 3:0. Scott McTominay, John McGinn and Ryan Porteous scored the goals at AEK Arena as it was fifth successive victory for the away team.

Current Premier League Standings

A left-back by trade, but Robertson is deployed further up the field for his national side. He started the match against Cyprus and played the entire 90 minutes.

During his time on the pitch, the Scot made three key passes and had a pass accuracy of 89.7%. Robertson also took 77 touches and delivered 3 crosses in the final-third.

Few media houses rated Robertson’s performance. GlasgowLive game him 8 out of 10 and wrote :-

“Good cross for the opener.

“Having a player who continues to excel in both a great Liverpool side and this resurgent Scotland team can only be of huge benefit on and off the pitch.”

The Scotsman rated him 7 out of 10 and wrote :-

“The Scotland captain was largely able to turn down the dial on his tearing down the left flank after one of his first such forays led to him delivering the cross from which for Steve Clarke’s men struck in the early minutes.”

Andrew Robertson will be crucial for both Liverpool and Scotland in the current campaign. He needs to show his real calibre to bring glory to his team.
