Another player close to leaving Manchester United after Forson’s departure

Manchester United may witness another player leaving with Omari Forson’s exit. The 19-year old plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger.

Forson began his youth career in the academies of West Ham and Tottenham Hotspurs. Followingly, he would join Manchester United in 2019. Thereafter, Forson would graduate from United’s academy in 2023. Erik Ten Hag was impressed with the youngster. The 19-year old would feature in 7 games in all competitions for the Red Devils. Moreover, the winger would register a key assist in setting up Kobbie Mainoo for the clincher in a 4-3 thriller against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Plenty of outgoing activity expected at Manchester United

Manchester United are currently in transition mode after INEOS’ acquisition. Plenty of uncertainties currently revolve around the Red Devils. The Manchester Reds are open to selling almost all of their players for a reasonable amount with the exception of Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and probably Andre Onana.

Raphael Varane has already left the Theatre of Dreams on a free transfer. Another Frenchman in the form of Anthony Martial has departed for free after a 9-year stint at the Old Trafford. Moreover, Sofyan Amrabat won’t be signed on a permanent deal by United after his loan spell from Fiorentina. Additionally, Casemiro has caught attention from Saudi and is likely to leave after failing to live up to his billing.

Furthermore, the Red Devils have made it clear that Sancho will be up for sale this summer despite his impressive loan spell at Dortmund. Additionally, Mason Greenwood will be moving away from the Old Trafford after a good loan spell at Granada.

Christian Eriksen is also on the verge of leaving Manchester United. The Dane endured lack of gametime with Mainoo’s rise in midfield. Moreover, United Captain Bruno Fernandes is being courted by Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich.

Omari Forson prefers Monza over Manchester United!

The United academy graduate has joined Serie A side Monza on a free transfer as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Forson was able to break through United’s first team this season making 7 appearances for the Red Devils.

However, the youngster opted out of continuing at United and has left for Italy. Crystal Palace and Newcastle were also in the race for the 19-year old versatile prodigy. Although, Forson chose Monza for regular gametime and different experience of playing abroad.

The 19-year old has signed a contract valid until 2028 with the Italian side. Erik Ten Hag was all praise for the youngster especially after Forson’s debut against Fulham. The Dutchman said:

“Lately, he’s performing very well, over the last half year he’s worked very hard, showed his progression.”

Erik Ten Hag’s decision could come back to haunt United

While Forson was impressive for the Red Devils this season, Ten Hag inculcated him in the squad by pushing other talented players. Facundo Pellistri went down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Pellistri was showing signs of growth and potential. However, Ten Hag’s decision forced Pellistri to make a move to La Liga. The 24-year old Uruguayan joined Granada on a short loan in January 2024 to ensure gametime and sustain his progress.

The winger made 15 appearances for the Spanish side scoring 2 goals in La Liga. With Forson leaving, Pellistri’s services may once again be of use to the Red Devils. However, the 22-year old may seek a permanent transfer elsewhere considering Ten Hag’s lack of faith in him. Consequently, United may find themselves in quite a pickle!

Will Pellistri be leaving Manchester United?

The 22-year old may consider leaving United with many believing that Ten Hag’s sacking by United was a hoax by the media.

The Uruguayan may consider alternative options. Otherwise, he could choose to be the bigger man and use this opportunity to make a name for himself at the Theatre of Dreams.
