Ben Doak impresses Former Reds on his Europa League debut

Liverpool youngster Ben Doak impresses Former Reds Michael Owen on his UEFA Europa League debut against Austrian outfit LASK.

The Mersyside club again conceded an early goal in the first-half. However, Liverpool have now made a habit of second-half comebacks as they won the match by the scoreline of 3:1.

Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah scored the goals for the visitors as Liverpool started their Europa League campaign with a win. However, young Scottish winger Ben Doak.

The 17-year-old made his first senior team start for the English club. It will be huge moment for young Ben Doak, however he impressed everyone with his outing last night.

Manager Jurgen Klopp rotated his squad last night as he gave chance to some non-regular starters. Stefan Bajcetic also made into the playing-11 against LASK.

Speaking on TNT Sports, Micheal Owen is quite impressed with Doak’s outing last night. He said :-

“Yes I can. He’s excited a lot of the staff that I know at Liverpool. He’s an aggressive, hard working type of player.

“He plays quite a mature game I would say. I mean, I take myself back to, you know, earlier on in the season when Mo Salah was brought off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and it was Ben Doak that went on.

“That just shows you straight away Jurgen Klopp thinks of him. He could be a very good player for the future for Liverpool. You’ve got to start somewhere and this will be a great start for him.”

With Doak’s debut last night, he can be the one to look for in the future as he was rated highly by club officials previously.
