Just ahead of his home Grand Prix, Sergio Perez is rocking the F1 world in a new video that showcases the Mexican driving blind.
Formula 1 is gearing up for another exciting race week coming to Mexico City. This is the home race for red bull driver Sergio Perez and one can argue that he knows his track at the back of his hand.
Every driver has a special place for his home race and track. The atmosphere in Mexico City is undeniably wonderful and home hero Perez is arguably always at the center of it.
The home hero showcased his immense skills ahead of the weekend. Sergio Perez drove around a lap of 4.304-kilometer-long Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez “blind”.
Perez impressed all his delighted fans with the showcase. Max Verstappen is also rooting for Perez this weekend as he aims for another 1-2 finish for the team.
“That’s a target also, it’s very close.
“It’s not about giving presents, as long as we finish first and second the team is happy.
“Checo is good enough to win races on his own, which is way more rewarding anyway.”
Perez also admitted that he dreams of solo glory in Mexico City:
“I’ve dreamt a few times already about it,” he said.
“It would be massive for me. Obviously, that’s the target for Sunday.
“It will not be easy. We need to be perfect throughout the weekend, so I think all the focus will be now on the racing stuff to try to maximise the weekend.
“And at the end of the day, it’s another weekend with the same amount of points, but it’s the most special one for me.”
Perez will be looking for the top spot this weekend.
