Chelsea ditch Olise deal!

The Blues were eagerly anticipating this deal, but they will need to pull off due to its complexities. Last summer, despite serious interest, the Eagles persuaded Olise to sign a new contract. In return, they included a release clause so that top clubs can pursue him without complex negotiations. Now Chelsea reportedly offering more money to convince Olise to stay for another year and raise his release clause to £100m and stop a move to Bayern. Chelsea crafted their strongest offer but found the financial terms unfeasible prompting them to withdraw. The board seeks to establish a strict wage bill, prioritizing easier transfer targets. Since joining Palace in 2021, the Frenchman has scored 16 goals and contributed 25 assists in 90 appearances for the Eagles. Other clubs have woken up and are now ready to hop in for the youngster following Chelsea’s withdrawal.

Palace making strong push to extend Olise’s contract: Bayern pushing for the deal as Chelsea is out

Palace is reluctant to part ways with their starboy at this price. According to reports they made a last ditch attempt to retain Olise by offering him a new contract. They are offering better salary and increased the release clause to £100m. With Bayern putting pressure too, the Frenchman should decide whether to accept the offer of renewal or agree on personal terms with the German club. Interest in the youngster has increased and with other clubs engaging, bids could surpass £60m mark. Olise’s priority is logical, he is a top player at a reasonable price with Premier league experience. The Bavarians contacted Palace when Chelsea were working really hard behind the scenes to get him. Newcastle have also approached the player while both the Manchester clubs remain interested

As it stands Bayern are favourites to sign him now. Olise wants to play for Bayern Munich and prefers better clouds than Stamford Bridge. They are now expected to land a deal for the 22-year old winger including the release clause. The youngster was close to completing a move to the Stamford Bridge but renewed his contract. France Football association have named him in the squad for Olympics. If France reaches the final, Olise will only have 2 weeks to rest before the opening day of Bundesliga.

What are Chelsea plotting now?

The Chelsea board prefer to reward existing players who consistently outperform or invest in feasible transfer targets. They have the services of left footed forwards such as Palmer, Madueke, Hutchinson and Angelo Gabriel. Young talents Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez are set to join in 2025. Chelsea will now look for other players in the market. They have contacted Man United to sign Jadon Sancho on loan. Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu is also on their radar. Confidence at Chelsea is high and they want to reward Enzo Maresca with a revamped squad to compete at the highest level. Chelsea will aim to finish in top 4 this season along with success in other cups.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has issued an update via Twitter. He says;

“Bayern have reached agreement on Michael Olise salary and contract, deal in place on player side! Olise rejects Palace new deal proposal, Chelsea and Newcastle wanted him but he’s joining Bayern.Deal to be completed soon with Palace, as @David_Ornstein reported.”
