Pundit Danny Murphy jokes Chelsea by saying that they may sign £100m player Carlos Baleba next year. He claims that the Blues maybe tempted after an impressive start by the Brighton teenager. Moreover, Chelsea have not been shy in making transfers from Brighton and Hove Albion in the recent windows. During the last Premier League campaign, they signed Graham Potter as their coach from the Seagulls. Though, he was sacked later on during the course of the season. Besides this, they made a English record deal for Moises Caicedo from Brighton this summer. Following this, they signed Robert Sanchez as their new goalkeeper.

While their manager Roberto De Zerbi was out of favour for Robert, some of their fans will certainly be envious after their goalkeeping display this season. Yesterday, Brighton played a 2-2 draw with Liverpool at their home picking up a point. While, Brighton saw a plenty of rotation, some of their players made it to the headlines. One of them was Carlos Baleba, who is looking impressive in filling the gap of Moises Caicedo. Danny Murphy was very impressed by his gameplay. He jokingly said this type of players encourage Chelsea for a big money-spending move. He said,

“They keep finding these gems. Baleba, 19 year old, first home start today. What a performance. He’ll probably be at Chelsea in a year, £100 million!”

While the 19-year-old looked very impressive in his first start at home, there are still a lot of steps to be taken before he is mentioned in the same breath as Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
