Pundit Ian Wright claims new signing Declan Rice is showing his real calibre in this current campaign for Arsenal Football Club.

Gunners signed the English midfielder for a club record fee of £105 million from West Ham United this summer. Since joining his new club, Rice is in tremendous reign of form.

After 1:0 victory over Everton this week, Wright stated that Declan Rice is 8/9 out of 10 in every match day. The midfielder did everything but didn’t get the well deserved goal on Sunday.

Speaking on the Premier League Productions, Wright claims Rice didn’t get the applause he served against Everton. He said :-

“The fact that Declan is quiet, and we aren’t speaking about him, it proves that he has gone about his job and he has done very well.

“That’s exactly what he does.

“We saw against Manchester United when he got all the headlines, but he scored the goal. But he has been playing similarly to that.

“Declan is 8/9 out of 10 every week. When he plays like he did this week, and he doesn’t score. This is exactly what he did against Manchester United. He goes about it quietly and efficiently, stomps things out, progresses the ball and defensively he does everything.

“You are always going to get that out of him.”

While Champions League will get unfold this week, Arsenal will be all charged up to face Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven. Rice will be looking forward to play in the biggest stage and prove his real worth for Arsenal.
