Tottenham had a season full of ups and downs. This was the first full season of their manager Ange Postecoglou. According to Paul Merson, Tottenham would have ended in the bottom half of the table without their former striker Harry Kane. There were signs Ange Postecoglou could be the man to finally end their trophy drought. This form was cut short after several injuries and their main scorer Son losing his goal-scoring form.

Harry Kane leaving can be one of the reason of Arsenal not winning the Premier League. During the final run of fixtures Tottenham faced Manchester City in a title deciding match. In case Manchester City dropped points, Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal would have won the title.
During this clash Heung-min Son got a clear chance on the goal, which he unexpectedly missed. This crucial miss allowed Man City to win the match and clinch the title. Many football fans believed if Harry Kane got the chance instead of Son, there will be more probability to score. If Manchester City had dropped points in that match, Arsenal would have clinched the title. However, Arsenal suffered the same faith as Liverpool.

Bayern Munich overall had a pretty disappointing season. They lost the league title to an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso. They crashed out of DFB Pokal in just the second round against Saarbrucken. Bayern Munich also crashed out of Champions League against Real Madrid who went on to be champions. At this point even the rival fans feel bad for Harry Kane who deserves at least one trophy in his career. Kane will get his next chance in the upcoming UEFA Euro with the Three Lions. Given the squad England has currently, there should be no excuse of them losing this tournament this time.
