Journalist impressed with Fabio Vieira’s performance against Barcelona

Journalist Josh Holland is quite impressed with Fabio Vieira’s performance against Barcelona in United States this morning.

While covering for football.london, Holland commented on Veira’s small cameo against the La-liga Champions. The 23-year-old was quite impressive during his short stint at the pitch today.

The Portuguese footballer came on as a substitute for captain Martin Odegaard in the 60th minute for the match with Arsenal winning the game 3:2 against Barcelona.

Leandro Trossard’s goal gave Gunners’ advantage the in 78th minute and appeared to put the game to bed. However, Ferran Torres scored a late goal to give the game a nervy end.

But with Vieira’s goal in 89th minute sealed the game for Arsenal today. The midfielder has huge season in front of himself and he needs to build up confidence after poor 12 months at the Emirates.

Thankfully, scoring a goal against one of the biggest team in Europe right now will certainly be a great thrust for Vieira. Earlier this month, Mikel Arteta was seen shouting at the midfielder during training and now, he will be happy to see him shine against brilliant opponent.

Journalist Josh Holland was quite happy with Vieira’s display and said :-

“Wow. That is special and that is game over.

“Fabio Vieira restores Arsenal’s two-goal advantage with a brilliant strike.

“Jorginho’s ball to Martinelli is picked up by the No.21 and whips the ball into the top corner.

”Fabio Vieira is capable of the spectacular and produced another moment of magic this morning.

Signed from FC Porto for £34m last summer, Vieira struggled to perform to his full potential in his first year at the Emirates. However, he will be now all charged up and go all guns blazing for next season.
