Liverpool and Brighton chasing Lillee midfielder this summer

Premier League clubs Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion are currently chasing Lillee midfielder Carlos Baleba this summer.

Reds have now lost both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea this week. Klopp’s team are in urgent need of a new defensive midfielder after both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson left the club.

According to Daily Mail, Baleba is under Liverpool’s radar after missing out on both Caicedo and Lavia in this transfer window. However Brighton have also identified him as a potential replacement for the Equadorian international this season.

The Mail+ have described how the Seagulls are looking to tie up a deal of Baleba. Although Liverpool and Newcastle are also named as contenders in the race.
