Manchester United given the go-ahead to buy world-class striker

Manchester United have a clear way to sign quality striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla on a bargain. The Red Devils were very inconsistent the entire campaign. Moreover, defense was a horror show with more than 80 goal concessions throughout the entire season in all competitions.

Additionally, United finished the Premier League on a record-low with 60 points on the 8th position behind Chelsea and Newcastle. Although, the Red Devils were able to salvage a part of their season by winning the FA Cup and qualifying for the Europa League.

However, the season was overall very poor for United. A plethora of injuries coupled with an inconsistent squad made United extremely vulnerable throughout the campaign. Moreover, none of the big money signings like Antony and Casemiro were able to live up to the hype. As easy it was for United to concede, the Red Devils found it equally difficult to score.

Manchester United managed to score only 57 goals in the league this campaign – 1 less than the number of goals they conceded. Although Rasmus Hojlund was impressive in the second half of the campaign, United felt the absence of a profound goal scorer.

INEOS consider En-Nesyri to fulfill United’s attacking needs!

Manchester United are keen to acquire Youssef En-Nesyri’s services from Sevilla. The Red Devils are ready to bid for the striker. The 27-year old is currently valued at  £15 million. However, reports suggest that the Moroccan international is available for a bargain price between £13-17 million.

Additionally, En-Nesyri has given his approval for a move to the Old Trafford. The Red Devils will hoping to make the most of the situation and price away the 27-year old.

Is En-Nesyri the striker Manchester United need?

Manchester United were not exactly a free scoring team this season. However players like Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes stepped in with the goods when United needed them.

Hojlund topped the scoring charts for United with 16 and Fernandes was second with 15. However, Hojlund and Garnacho were only two forwards who were able to enter double figures in terms of scoring this season. Moreover, Rashford’s downgrade of form is another key concern that United have to address. From scoring 30 goals for the Red Devils, Rashford was merely able to find the back of the net 8 times this season.

En-Nesyri, on the other hand, has been very consistent for Sevilla over the past couple of years. The forward scored 16 league goals this campaign which is higher than any United player. Moreover, En-Nesyri is good in the air and composed at finishing. The striker has proven himself time and time again and is lethal in front of goal.

Rolling back to the 22/23 season, United were regaining their confidence under Ten Hag’s first campaign. The Red Devils would go on to win the Carabao Cup and would knock Barcelona out of the Europa League contention. However, the Manchester Reds would eventually bow out of the competition after getting hammered by Sevilla. Additionally, En-Nesyri would score a brace in that 3-0 victory.

Moreover, the 27-year old would also score the decisive goal against Portugal at the 2022 World Cup propelling Morocco to the semi-finals. En-Nesyri has proved his quality and that he can be a big game player.

Should Manchester United cash-in on the Moroccan?

AC Milan were also interested in securing a move for the Moroccan. However, the Rossoneri are moving ahead with Joshua Zirkzee. Henceforth, Manchester United will be the frontrunners for the striker. The Red Devils will be making a big mistake if they don’t sign the Moroccan from here. Especially, when the player is keen to join, and moreover, is available at an absolute bargain.

INEOS are pushing in for young players. However, United need some experience up front too. En-Nesyri could be a great cost-effective alternative for the Red Devils.
