Fabrizio Romano gives update on Brighton & Hove Albion winger Karou Mitoma as he is linked with a move to Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur next summer.
According to recent updates, Liverpool have also joined the race Japanese international. However, Tottenham and Arsenal are also taking major interest on Mitoma due to his exploits on the football field.
Fabrizio Romano clarified the situation in his latest column of CaughtOffSide. Mitoma has already started this season on a high note as Brighton looks in top class form.
Although, clubs have to wait to sign the Japanese winger. Romano confirms that the Seagulls are not willing to sell Karou Mitoma as well as Evan Ferguson.
Romao discussed the situation and said :-
“I’d like to clear up a few Man City transfer rumours that have been circulating, with some fans asking me in particular about the links with Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, who has also been mentioned as someone Liverpool are keeping an eye on.
“My understanding is that there is nothing at the moment – I asked today and there is nothing to report on player or club side. Brighton love Mitoma and for sure they want him to stay on a long-term deal.
“It’s very normal to see top clubs following him but as I said for Evan Ferguson, also for Mitoma we’ll get ten or more links per week but nothing will happen this or next month.”
Mitoma has been one of the bright prospects fro Roberto De Zerbi’s side as Brighton value him below £70m. Liverpool will go for the Japanese International if Mohamed Salah leaves the club in future.
