Spanish media accuses Dani Ceballos of betraying Real Madrid

Ceballos

Dani Ceballos has played more minutes for Arsenal than Real Madrid and due to this, the Spanish press has accused him of betraying his parent club.

The Spaniard can leave the Spanish Giants on a free transfer despite Real offering him a new contract. Ceballos joined the Spanish side in 2017 but has played more minutes for Arsenal than he has played for Los Blancos.

With his current contract expiring at the end of the season, it looks as his journey in Real’s jersey is coming to an end. But this season has been quite different for Ceballos as his performance has been hugely praised by fans and pundits.

As a result, the 26-year-old has been a new contract but he looks in no hurry to sign it. Reports suggest Ceballos is reportedly negotiating with his representatives to secure a bonus of €10m from the club he signs next.

Due to this, some in the Spanish media have criticized the situation and termed it a “betrayal” against his current club.

CEBALLOS MIGHT RETURN TO HIS FORMER CLUB

Real Betis are willing to pay the bonus as they are eager for the reunion to happen. Ceballos originates from Utrera and has always been a loyal supporter of The Green-and-Whites. Ceballos has also confessed his willingness to return to his former club and help them in further development.

Betis are also experiencing one of their best seasons in years and this looks like a perfect opportunity to go back to his roots.
