According to El Nacional, Manchester City has made contact with representatives of Karim Benzema. The Frenchman’s contract with Real Madrid is expiring in June 2023. Benzema has once again been in tremendous form this season scoring 15 goals and assisting 8 times in 17 appearances in all competitions this term. Manchester City were looking for a striker in the summer but failed their pursuit of Harry Kane as the asking price was too much for the England international.
Real Madrid are prepared to bring Kylian Mbappe to Santiago Bernabeu. Mbappe has also rejected new contracts at PSG and looks very firm on his decision to join Los Blancos. Furthermore, Real Madrid are also targetting Erling Haaland which is also a big-money move. Mbappe’s contract is expiring soon and would be way cheaper than thought. However, Haaland is not easy to get because of his agent Mino Raiola’s ridiculous demands.
Benzema has proved to be very important for his club in the last few years. However, the agent of Karim Benzema is very open regarding his possible move to Premier League with Manchester City.

Karim Benzema is proved to be one of the best strikers in the world. He is not only a goal poacher but also a playmaker. His extreme positional awareness is second to none in the league. He can even drop in midfield to create a chance or two.

Guardiola wants a striker who has similar attributes to that of Harry Kane. Even at the age of 34, Benzema can prove to be an excellent signing for any club. Although it is unlikely for him to leave Los Blancos, but there is still a possibility that Real Madrid just might sell him to make room for Erling Haaland. If City does secure his signature then they will be unstoppable. If a strikerless City can do so much damage then City with a proven goalscorer is capable of doing wonders.
