Gunners Update on Kai Havertz’ Potential Return

The Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann gave an update on the Gunners forward Kai Havertz. According to him Havertz has suffered a ‘small relapse’ in his recovery from a knee injury. This has led to a fresh blow to Mikel Arteta’s squad ahead of critical lineup of fixtures.

It is a matter of serious concern as out of the three forwards the two forward namely Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz. Both of them are having injury issues that comes with an unclear situation of return. Although the squad depth plays an advantage, but that can never be taken for granted.

Manager Confirms Setback

The update came from the Germany National team coach about the Gunners forward. He revealed the complications in detail while discussing the fitness of several Germany players. He stated, “Kai has had a small relapse, but he is doing well”.

Also, he added that if the things go well, he might be fit enough to play at the end of the year. This timeline suggests a potential return in the month of December. This also washes away any rumour of the German forward’s immediate comeback after the International break.

A Frustrating Season

This setback extends a considerable mind boggling frustration within the 26 year old. Havertz has managed just one appearance this season for Arsenal. It came on the opening day win over Manchester United. After that he went under a “minor surgical procedure”on his knee. His absence has been a constant obstacle for Mikel Arteta. The injury prone forward has severely limited his attacking options.

Fan Frustration Mounts

All these news has successfully created a mountain of frustration among the Arsenal supporters. Many of the fans have shown their concern on social media about the injury issues. However, apart from the injury concerns, a more precise update on Havertz’s return will likely come from Arteta in the pre-match press conference ahead of the North London Derby.
