Everton: Michael Bridge makes a shocking Dele Alli revelation

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge recently made a worrying revelation about Everton midfielder Dele Alli.

Alli has not been getting games after moving to the Merseyside club in the January transfer window. The only spark that we saw from him in his brief stint in Goodison Park was a 32-minute cameo against Leicester City. This was his first match in five games.

The January move from Tottenham Hotspur to Everton was supposed to rejuvenate his career as it has done for Philippe Coutinho in Aston Villa. However, he is shockingly now linked away from the club in the summer, months after joining it.

The situation is very worrying for Alli in Everton as Bridge claims. Bridge was critical of the 26-year-old and questioned his form.

” He’s been clubbing too much, he’s this, he’s that”.” Well, some of the best players in the world have a good social life”. “Something’s happened, or too much too young, and his body can’t do what it used to. One day we might know, or we might never know.”

Was Alli a good signing for Everton?

As Bridge claims, Alli seems to be the player who would want to have some support from his manager. This position could have been aptly taken by Frank Lampard who himself was an English midfielder. Unfortunately, Alli has fallen out of favor.

Analysts feel that the ‘Toffees’ should not give Alli right away. They feel that he should be given the chance to consolidate his position in the team and get acclimatized to the surroundings.

In his cameo, against Leicester, there were glimpses of the old Alli. His cross ultimately led to the equalizer against the ‘Foxes’. Coming on as a substitute, he won three of his duels, made crucial interceptions, and made an important pass.

Therefore, Lampard should give him more matches in order to make the Englishmen find back his form.
