Arsenal Football Club has made a number of changes at its top board leadership. Some names have gone; some got promotion in the board. These changes came on 19 September 2025.

Tim Lewis, who had been Executive Vice-Chair, has left the club.
Richard Garlick, who was Managing Director, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with immediate effect.
New non-executive directors have joined the board. These include Kelly Blaha, Otto Maly, Ben Winston, and long-time advisor Dave Steiner.
Ben Winston is a season ticket holder for over 30 years. He is a TV producer / director.
Arsenal’s co-chairs remain Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke.
What this means?
These changes are part of a bigger plan. Arsenal wants to be stronger in both club operations and in how they manage growth.
Tim Lewis had been at the club in various roles since about 2007, first as an advisor for Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, then joining the board in 2020, and being promoted to Executive Vice-Chair in 2023.
Richard Garlick joined Arsenal in 2021 as Director of Football Operations. He became Managing Director in 2024.
The new non-executive directors bring different skills: experience in finance, real estate, media, business advising, and entertainment.
Reaction and outlook
Manager Mikel Arteta has reacted by saying he believes Arsenal’s future is “wonderful” despite the changes.
The club says these changes are to inject new thoughts and energy into the board. They want to keep growing, keep being competitive, while putting fans at the heart of decisions.
