Arsenal Injury Update: Heading into Olympiacos Clash

Arsenal FC

Arsenal will face Greek club Olympiacos soon in the Champions League but before that, they have to deal with several injury concerns. Several players in Arsenal’s squad have been sidelined in the course of domestic matches. Here is the latest:

Who is Serving Injury, who is Doubtful? Arsenal Squad

Noni Madueke is out for weeks with a knee issue. He suffered the injury during the 1-1 draw with Manchester City.  Scans suggest he might be sidelined for about two months.

Piero Hincapie is a major doubt against Olympiacos. He has a groin problem.  Arteta has said the injury is โ€œminor,โ€ but with the tight match schedule, Hincapie is unlikely to play.

Kai Havertz remains out with a knee injury.  His return is expected only later, possibly in November.

Gabriel Jesus is still sidelined after his ACL surgery earlier in the season.  His return is tentatively set for late in the year.

Martin Odegaard had a shoulder problem, but he is back in training and could start in UCL match day.

There are no suspensions affecting Arsenal for this match.

What It Means for the Lineup?

With injuries stacking up, Arteta must adjust his team plan. One big change: Odegaard is likely to return to the starting eleven.  Some reports suggest Declan Rice could be dropped to make room for Merino and to allow a shift in midfield shape.

In attack, losing Madueke is a blow. But options like Martinelli, Trossard, and Gyokeres give Arteta flexibility.

In defense, missing Hincapie will test their depth. But the backline can be bolstered by rotation.

Authorโ€™s Insight

Arsenal goes into the Olympiacos game with uncertainty. The absence of Madueke and Hincapie is worrisome. Still, the return of Odegaard and squad depth offers some relief. If things go well and injuries heal quickly, the Gunners can bounce back stronger.
