Arsenal move tempting Real Madrid striker

Real Madrid

Mikel Arteta is trying to lure Real Madrid striker Rodrygo to the Emirates. The Gunners narrowly missed out on winning the Premier league title and are keen to cover last season’s weakness. Arsenal want an experienced and prolific goalscorer to spearhead their attack. Eddie Nketiah is likely to leave the Emirates, prompting Arsenal to look for strikers available. The Brazilian forward won La Liga and the Champions league with Real Madrid, scoring 16 goals and assisting 7. With Kylian Mbappe playing for the Los Blancos this season, the 23-year old will no longer be the main output for scoring goals and his playing minutes will likely decrease. Therefore, the youngster might want to move to a club where he can become a decisive player and a fan favourite. Arsenal is a young team led by a young manager, where the Brazilian can fit in perfectly.

Mikel Arteta makes a promise to Rodrygo

The Gunners improved their squad with high quality players like Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, David Raya and Jurrien Timber last season. Although they fell short in winning the league, they are confident of winning it this season. Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Rodrygo and believes he could become a future star at the Emirates. The Spaniard has promised the Real Madrid forward that he will be the main man at Arsenal if he leaves the Bernabeu. The Arsenal manager has a reputation for using new signings effectively and turn them fan favourites instantly. Arteta has been following Rodrygo since he was assistant of Pep Guardiola at Man City. The North London side are also linked with Viktor Gyokeres and Serhou Guirassy, adding the Brazilian to the list aswell. Arsenal have one of the youngest squads in the league, ideal for youngster like Rodrygo to thrive with his experience.

Rodrygo is known for his decision making, offensive positioning, lethal finishing, linkup play and ofcourse the Brazilian flair. He can hold up play brilliantly to create space for other attackers and run in behind to score goals aswell. The Brazilian impressed at Santos which earned him a move to Real Madrid at just 18 years of age, where he made an instant impact. Rodrygo has shown his attacking prowess, proving his ability to thrive in high pressure situations. He has plenty to improve on, which Mikel Arteta will definitely be able to help the Brazilian.

Arsenal hijack Real Madrid’s transfer target: Aaron Ramsdale exit on the cards

Arsenal is looking to finalise a deal for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia as their first summer signing. According to sources, the Gunners have pipped the Los Blancos who also wanted the Spaniard. Garcia helped the Catalan club earn promotion to La Liga this season and has attracted lots of European clubs. This signing could potentially mean Aaron Ramsdale on the verge of leaving. Newcastle is interested in signing the Englishman. The club is happy with David Raya and will sign him permanently this season. Arteta speaking in a press conference said he expects the Englishman to stay in North London.

The Arsenal manager says;

“A suggestion? There is a big reality that Aaron will be here because he is our player and has a contract with 2 years remaining.”
