Arsenal have lost Premier League title for the second time in a row to Manchester City. The gunners this season were more close than they were last season. Mikel Arteta is already acknowledged by many for the work he is doing. Recently Bernardo Silva praised him for transformation of Arsenal.
Arsenal finished their season on second position similar to last season. However this year they fell short of winning the title by only 2 points. Last year they were 5 points short. The title was set be decided on the final day where the gunners were hoping that city drop points. A defeat or draw in City’s game was enough to crown Arsenal as champions however it didn’t happen. Despite having a wonderful season the gunners were left heartfelt on the last day.
Despite the result, it will go down as one of the best season Arsenal ever had. The Gunners were absolutely amazing both defensively and offensively. In defense it was a solid performance from Saliba throughout the season conceding only 29 goals. In attacking every teammate played their part perfectly scoring 91 goals. Three players managed to reach double figures in scoring and one player managed to reach double figure in assists.
Arsenal had the control of title for the majority of season. Later Liverpool were ahead at one point but their defeat against Crystal Palace gave Arsenal a big chance to take the control back. However the gunners failed to win against Aston Villa at their homes. They were victims of Unai Emery’s masterclass. That gave Manchester City lead in the title race which eventually crowned them as champions for the fourth time in a row.
Bernardo Silva on Arsenal and Arteta
City faced tough competition from the gunners and this has been hugely admired by Bernardo Silva. While taking about the last season the portugese midfielder praised Mikel Arteta for his management style and tactics.
Firstly talking about Liverpool and Arsenal dropping points at important time, Silva stated that it was a big and pleasent surprise. He continued that these type of situations boost the confidence. According to him, the energy level of whole squad went up as they sensed the opportunity to win the league.
Silva believes that the gunners will be back again next season as title contenders. He believes in Mikel Arteta and his passion to win trophies. Silva knows Arteta very well from when Arteta was at City as assistant manager to Pep Guardiola.

Silva believes that Arsenal squad is very young and very passionate about winning the titles. He believes they will be back next season with string and fresh mentality to go after silverwares.
Where should Arsenal improve
Arsenal will be definately title contenders for the next season as well. However they need to make some key changes and sign some quality players this transfer window. Sporting director Edu and Mikel Arteta are already working on it and also have revealed their plans.
Despite scoring 91 goals in the league, Arsenal need to sign a quality striker. Edu has already been working on it and many names have been linked too. Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres are two names that have been heavily linked and anyone of them could be seen making his way to North London. There market values are €110 million and €55 million respectively according to Transfermarkt. Along with striker, the gunners are also reported to welcome midfielder and left back. David Raya is also reported to get a permanant offer from Gunners or else the club will sign a new keeper. The upcoming market will prove crucial for Arsenal and may decide their future next season.
