Bruno Fernandes may be saleable. Rumours are that Bayern Munich and Real Madrid may make a bid to purchase him next June. It’s stated that a premium club could “turn his head.”
This is what we have so far.
Bruno ‘s Contract and Club Value
Fernandes has been a Manchester United player since January 2020. His contract expires in July 2027. It does have a clause that he can stay for an extra year. His valuation next year, as quoted by United, stands at around £40 million (€46m).
That fee isn’t enormous for a player of his caliber—but, against his age (31) and contract length, United see it as a fair price if a large club comes in.
Interest from Europe & Saudi
Fernandes rejected advances from the Saudi Pro League in 2025. He’s not bothered to depart England just yet. But that does not exclude interest from the best teams in Europe. Real Madrid have been rumoured to be interested in him in the past, and Bayern may want to rekindle that interest. A source, Dean Jones, observed: “He may … ask the question and turn his head.”
So, a good proposition or high promise can tempt him even if he wants to stay.
Why United Might Sell Bruno Fernandes
Unloading Bruno Fernandes now gives Manchester United a chance to sell high while his value still holds. It gives a window to invest in other young players and fortify other areas of the team, particularly if Fernandes isn’t a key figure in the near future.
Risks & Challenges Leadership and experience of Bruno Fernandes are worth a lot. This is something that Manchester United may lose out on. Bayern Munich or Real Madrid will have to provide more than financially, a key role in the playing eleven and mutual ambitions, if they want Manchester United to sell.
Author’s Insight
This isn’t a done deal—but it’s serious. Fernandes is a club legend now standing at a crossing point. Bayern or Real Munich making an offer might just force his hand. For United, it’s a risk and a chance. If they get it right, it might just help revitalize the team. If they mess it up, they will regret giving up their skipper.
