Leicester City

36-year old Jonny Evans has signed a new deal with Manchester United. Evans will be extending his stay for another year at the Old Trafford. Evans made a return to boyhood club Manchester United after his 5 year spell at Leicester City.

Following his Leicester City days, Evans would train with the Red Devils at the Theatre of Dreams. Manchester United would sign 36-year old Evans on a season long deal in September 2023. The defender began his youth player career with the Red Devils in 2004. Subsequently, Evans joined United’s first team in 2006.

He would go on to stay with Manchester United until 2015. Evans would experience loan spells at Royal Antwerp and Sunderland for a couple of seasons during his time at United. Thereafter, West Bromwich Albion would sign Evans for an undisclosed amount in 2015. Subsequently, Leicester City would trigger £3.5 million release clause for Evans, signing him in 2018.

The 36-year old made 198 appearances for United in his first spell. Furthermore, Jonny Evans has already made 30 appearances for Manchester United following his return. The 36-year old is vastly experienced having made 525 club appearances and 107 caps for Northern Ireland throughout his career.

“I am delighted to have extended my contract at Manchester United for another season.”

INEOS turning things around: Another Red Devil on-board!

Talented winger Jadon Sancho will be returning for the upcoming campaign with Manchester United. Sancho would have a falling out with Ten Hag in 2023. Subsequently, Borussia Dortmund would capitalize on the situation by signing the 24-year old on loan.

Sancho was unable to bring his A-game at the Theatre of Dreams. He was subpar throughout his stint at the Old Trafford. However, upon his return to Dortmund, the 24-year old would return back to his best. Sancho would put incredible performances and impress everyone with his dribbling yet again. The winger would show everyone just what he is capable of. Sancho would propel Dortmund to the Champions League final against Real Madrid. Unfortunately, the Bundesliga side would end up on the wrong end of the results.

Followingly, Dortmund wanted to make Sancho deal permanent. Although they would eventually fail to materialize a deal for him. Consequently, the 24-year old has returned to Carrington to continue training with the Red Devils.

It seems that Ten Hag and Sancho have managed to resolve their issues and work past them. Sancho is still young and could become a fan favorite soon if he continues his good run of form at the Theatre of Dreams!
