They were demanding the sacking of Ruben Amorim at the earliest. But the board members do not feel that this is the right time to release the Portuguese manager. Manchester United Supporters Don’t Blame Amorim for Last Season
The Manchester United board appointed Ruben Amorim with immediate effect after parting ways with Erik Ten Hag last season. Ten Hag left Manchester United under heavy criticism. While Ruben Amorim joined the club in mid-season after having a dominating run with Sporting Lisbon. So, everybody was quite relaxed and satisfied with his inclusion. When Amorim took the job at Manchester United, he didn’t have much to do. The club was already struggling a lot. Manchester United supporters were hoping for a miraculous turnaround. But it was too much to hope. The Red Devils had a disastrous performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the final. Not only did they lose the final, but they also missed out on their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. After the end of that terrible season, fans once again hoped for a better season under Ruben Amorim. But sadly, nothing has changed yet.
Ruben Amorim is Confident Despite Derby Horror
From the last match of the last season to the press conference after losing against Manchester City, Amorim still urges the rest to trust the process. Amorim made some harsh calls during the start of the season. First, he removed the club’s homegrown talent, Marcus Rashford from the team. Then he also told the club to release Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Rasmus Hoijlund. Veteran Lindelöf was released as a free agent, too. Clearly, Amorim wanted a team that obeys him. But he didn’t stop there. Amorim put pressure on the board to buy some utility footballers, especially in the attacking third. The board fulfilled Amorim’s every single wish before the start of this new season. The club now has a completely new front line under head coach Ruben Amorim. But still the situation has remained the same. Manchester United have only bagged three points against Burnley so far this season. They have drawn once and the rest of the matches has ended in defeats for the Red Devils. Most recently, Manchester City has destroyed Manchester United. The world can clearly see that the players haven’t found the sync between themselves yet. The forwards are still getting clueless while scoring goals. Only Bryan Mbuemo has scored a goal as Sesko and Cunha are yet to open their accounts. The media asked Amorim about the team’s actual reason behind these unforgivable performances. In return, the Portuguese had told everyone to be patient. But he has added more on his interview. “I understand the frustration, and I accept any decisions that come from it. I take the criticism.
