As per multiple reports, Liverpool are preparing to hand Mohamed Salah a new deal in the coming weeks.
Mohamed Salah to extend his Anfield stay
Liverpool are in talks with Mohamed Salah for a new deal as the new reports. He is expected to extend his stay at Anfield for couple of more years. The club is into conversations with the player in the recent weeks for a new deal.
In addition, the Reds captain Virgil van Dijk is also expected to extend his contract. The Netherlands international confirmed earlier this week that there are positive talks about his future with his side. Trent Alexander-Arnold will also be without a contract in June.
Although, Alexander-Arnold is linked with a summer move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Egyptian and the Dutchman have been key to their club’s success over the years. The Reds are most likely to win the Premier League as well this term. Since the arrival of Arne Slot, the team has been in a great run of games this campaign.
The 33-year-old forward has scored 27 goals in 31 matches in this season so far. While, Van Dijk and his defense have only conceded 30 goals throughout this campaign.
Slot’s side are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool already thinking of the 2025/26 campaign
The Reds will be expected to do every possible thing to keep their key players with the club. Slot is also hopeful that he’ll have his important players for the 2025/26 season.
Salah and Van Dijk have been asked about their contract situations throughout this campaign. Both were clear that they wanted to continue with this team. However, until the last month, it was expected that both will be leaving the club in the summer transfer window.
But, it looks like things have changed. It will be a great to see both of these stars playing in the Premier League for more couple of years.
