Robert Lewandoski would be reportedly open to a move to Chelsea. The move will only be possible if his preferred move to Barcelona falls through.

The 33-year-old has made it clear that he wants to leave the Bundesliga giants after eight years. However, Bayern Munich are still reluctant to sanction his exit.

THE CURRENT SITUATION OF THE POLAND STRIKER AT BAYERN MUNICH

Robert Lewandoski prefers a move to Barca. He wants the move immediately. However, the German giants are asking for a lot of money for the 33-year-old striker. The club also want the transfer fee paid immediately. They do not want the money paid in installments. Therefore due to their financial situation, the Catalan club are finding it hard to pay the transfer fee.

However, the deal is not off. Barcelona president Laporta recently revealed that they have had tabled an opening offer for Lewandoski. However, the offer was quickly rejected. Although, he also added that they are going to make a second bid for him soon. The second bid is reportedly in the region of €50m (£42m). They allegedly expect the bid to be accepted as it is near the valuation Bayern Munich are asking for.

This is following the temporary departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan.

Robert Lewandoski has scored 344 goals in 375 appearances for Bayern Munich across all competitions. He has helped the club win numerous trophies over the years. However, he feels the Bundesliga giants are not appreciating his contribution to the club. On the other hand for Barca, they are hoping to recruit both Raphinha (£60m) and Lewandoski despite their financial difficulties. This looks like a two-horse race between Chelsea and Barca for Lewandoski.
