Chelsea have recently completed the signing of former striker Romelu Lukaku and now want to bring a midfielder. Chelsea have set their eyes on Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul. Meanwhile, Chelsea are not the only club to make a move for the Spaniard. Manchester United and Liverpool are also in the race to sign Saul this summer.

According to Marca, Chelsea will first try to offload players then make moves for Sevilla center-back Jules Kounde and Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez. Moreover, Fabrizio Romano claims that  Davide Zappacosta, Malang Sarr, and Tiemoue Bakayoko are on the list to move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are already stacked in the midfield with world-class players like N’Golo Kante and Jorginho. Moreover, Thomas Tuchel prefers playing a 3-5-2 formation that includes playing two CMs. If Chelsea manages to pull of Saul transfer it’ll be difficult for him to take place in the first team.

Chelsea are waiting for another midfielder before making a move for the Spanish midfielder. Declan Rice is Chelsea’s long-term target. The defensive midfielder is worth £100m and no club in this pandemic situation is willing to pay that fee. They are also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni

Player that are likely to leave Chelsea to make a move for Saul

Chelsea have decided to sell a few players to make move for their midfield target. The first player that is likely to leave Chelsea is Tiemoue Baayoko. Baayoko could leave Stamford Bridge and join AC Milan on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The Italian full-back Emerson Palmieri joins Lyon on a loan deal and Malang Sarr could join Bologna on loan. Moreover, Chelsea have faced a hitch in the Jules Kounde deal as Trevoh Chalobah has been immense in the defense. The defender played a vital role in Chelsea’s Super Cup triumph and scored a screamer against Crystal Palace. Tuchel is likely to give him a run in the first team.
