French star Anthony Martial is set to make a move Liga MX side Monterrey, which would result in him linking up with Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos. The reports suggest that the French player and the club have reached a mutual agreement and will undergo a medical in Mexico. The club already provides home to Real Legend who has helped the club reach the top of the table and this signing makes them have another big name in their arsenal.
Anthony Martial – The talent which never took off
Anthony Martial was once considered a bright prospect with Manchester United buying him from Monaco for a fee of £36m and was expected to take the club to new heights. The French Forward in his stint at United scored a total of 90 goals in 317 appearances. After ending the club commitments, Anthony Martial had made a move to AEK Athens for a record transfer in the club’s history. Anthony Martial has however been a disappointing investment to them with only 24 games across all competitions. He is also kept out of the squad list for the last six fixtures as well. Although only 29, It is highly unlikely that Martial will ever reach the heights that he promised to. This can prove to be his last chance at redemption and glory.
Sergio Ramos – A legend on last legs
An inspiration to a generation, Sergio Ramos has achieved it all. From winning the champions league to lifting the world cup, the Spanish defender is responsible for redefining the role of defensive play and was always a leader on the pitch. The former Spain international player has played for many big clubs namely – Real Madrid and even in PSG, with now in his last legs has made a move to Liga MX side Monterrey. Though not at his prime anymore, Sergio still packs a fight in him and is willing to help the team and provides his all to any club he joins. As they say, Form is temporary, Class is permanent! Also, with the advent of Anthony Martial. This may well result in Ramos winning another silverware and bringing the club to glory as well, again certifying his legend in the process as well.

As per the reports, Fabrizio Romano has reported on the agreement between Monterrey and Martial. Other clubs like Pumas also entered the race to acquire Martial; however, the player declined their offer due to lower wages. Should the move happen, it will be a massive opportunity for the team to chase glory. With Martial quickness and Ramos leadership, there is very little to go wrong if the players can click and link up properly. The club is already on the top of the table, and this addition will surely boost their chances to stay at the top for a long time. Martial’s deal may also result in the revival of his own career as well.

Although an unlikely team-up, Both Martial and Ramos can actually be the main guys to propel the club to new heights. Both of them have experience of European Football and so that would obviously reflect in their work ethic and play. The other players in the locker room will also have a chance to watch up two great players at close and learn from them on a day-to-day basis. The addition of Martial and the presence of Ramos also benefits each other as well as they will also have the chance to learn from each other. The presence of a elder figure and a young mind compliment the team mental morale as well. Now whether this duo will become like Batman and Robin – only time will tell
