Former Reds and pundit Adam Bogdan praises current Liverpool No.1 Allison Becker for his brilliant display and strong mentality on the pitch.
Liverpool Football club consists some of the world’s finest players such as Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. But Allison’s display is not much talked about in the footballing media.
However, speaking on The Kopite Podcast, Former GK Adam Bogdan suggests Allison Becker is one of the strongest player in the Liverpool squad currently. The Former Hungarian International even compared him with centre-back Virgil van Dijk.
Bogdan shared his opinion about the Brazilian :-
“He’s just so powerful.
“He’s like pushing the grass underneath him, pushing the whole pitch away. If you could see how much he can squat, it would be big numbers in my opinion. To have that momentum he has, it’s similar to Van Dijk as a defender, he can shield it and shield a player and then take the ball off him.
Bogdan is quite right about the fact that Allison is quite powerful between both the sticks for the Mersyside club. His leg strength is off elite quality and he is very quick to rush off the line to collect the ball when claiming crosses.
However Virgil van Dijk and other outfield players need to work on their upper body strength due to head-to-head clashes.
Allison is also very strong in that regard and his tall stature helps him to show his brilliant prowess between the sticks. He will be important figure of Liverpool in this current campaign.
