Jurgen Klopp bids his farewell to Anfield. The German manager will be leaving Anfield with a win. Klopp in his 9 year spell with Liverpool has made a remarkable impact and has been loved and praised by Liverpool fans all over the world.

The day has finally arrived were the most loveable manager of Liverpool bids his farewell. Liverpool defeated Wolves on the final matchday of Premier League to grab one last win under Klopp. Over the past 9 years the German manager has made a very special place in hearts of millions of Liverpool fans despite winning only 8 trophies.

The farewell Klopp received was breathtaking and emotional. Despite being very heartfelt, Liverpool fans didn’t miss any opportunity to tell Klopp how proud they are to have him. Fans greeted Klopp’s arrival on pitch with standing ovation. The fans created a Jurgen mosaic and also a heart shape in German flag colours. Klopp looked very emotional when fans started to sing club’s most popular song ‘You’ll never walk alone’.

After the match, Klopp received a guard of honour from his players. Speaking to Liverpool fans, Klopp was proud and emotional at the same time. Klopp thanked the fans for ignoring his request about not singing his song. He also mentioned how happy he is to witness all these things. Klopp also stated that this doesn’t feel like end and infact feels like a new start.

After the farewell speech Klopp started with his iconic fist pumps all over the ground. Along with Klopp everyone of Liverpool staff pumped fists with him. After that all the Liverpool staff and squad sang ‘You’ll never walk alone’ together with the fans.

Klopp and his legacy with Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp became Liverpool manager in 2015. The Reds approached Klopp in 2012 too. However the German manager who was managing Dortmund that time rejected the offer according to The Telegraph. The German manager revealed that Ian Ayre who was former Liverpool chief executive called him up to know if he was interested. The former Dortmund manager was enjoying a good spell with German side and was not willing to move to Liverpool who were not doing very good at that time. Klopp went on to reach Champions league final with Dortmund in 2013 where they unfortunately lost against Bayern Munich.

In 2015, Klopp finally decided to take charge of Anfield. Ever since his arrival Klopp stole heart of every Liverpool fan. He rebuilt the falling Liverpool and made them one of the best once again. Klopp shares a strong bond of love with fans and has installed a strong mentality in the club. He transformed Liverpool in a team that hates to give up through his passion.

Klopp ended Liverpool’s 30 years drought of winning league. Liverpool became champions of England for the first time in 30 years in 2020. One year before that, they were crowned champions of europe when they defeated Tottenham in finals. Klopp managed to win 8 major trophies with Liverpool. Although that may not sound as very much, the performance from Liverpool every year has been of highest quality. Liverpool lost many of their titles to Manchester City and Real Madrid on more than occasion. Along with titles Klopp’s signing have been remarkable too. His decisions of signing Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, etc have already earned the players spot as club legends.

Arne Slot to take charge soon

In his farewell speech Klopp started Arne Slot’s chant. He told the fans to support the Dutch manager which confirms his signing. Official conformation about Slot is expected soon from the club. There will be few changes in lineups too along with Slot’s arrival. The summer transfer window will be crucial for Liverpool.
