Arsenal have launched their new kit for the 2024/25 season. Recently the club had photoshoot for the launch and shared the photos on the official social media handles. Several players were present while the photoshoot giving us an idea about Arsenal’s plans for the transfer market.
New Arsenal home kit for 2024/25
Arsenal’s new jersey contains of tradition red and white colours. There are navy blue strips on neckline and body giving it a decent look. The pictures of new jersey have been shared on official site of Arsenal. The new jersey has logo different than the logo they have been using for the last 35 years. The gunners will play with Cannon emblem on their chest for the first time after 1989/90 season.
When asked about the new logo, Gabriel Martinelli said he knows how important the cannon is for the club and the fans. He also added that he is excited to wear it with pride next season. Arsenal’s women team forward Alessia Russo had a same view about the Cannon emblem too. She appreciated the simplicity of the new jersey and said that it gives Cannon a space to shine.
However Arsenal fans will have to wait longer to see their players play in new strip. Arsenal have made a decesion that they will not wear the new kit on the final day. Hence Arsenal will feature there new jersey for the first time on the pitch in their pre-season games. The gunners will be facing Everton on sunday in the final match of the season. They are also in title race with Manchester City. The title will be decided on the final day where Arsenal hope that Man City drops points. A draw or loss of Man City will result in Arsenal crowned as Premier League champions.
Future of Arsenal stars
The official photoshoot of the new kit featured many of the Arsenal stars. Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Leah Williamson, Alessia Russo, Gabriel Martinelli, etc are some of the names who were present for the official shoot. Along with them Gabriel Jesus and Aaron Ramsdale were also present who are linked with away moves.
Gabriel Jesus signed for Arsenal in 2022 from Manchester City. The brazilian had a good first season where he played 26 matches in the premier league. Jesus scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists in those 26 matches. This season he has also been featured in 26 matches. However he has not been upto the mark and has only managed to score 4 goals. Jesus also seems to have lost his place as the first choice striker.
Mikel Arteta is currently using Kai Havertz as a striker who is doing very well. The gunners are also linked with another move for striker in this transfer market. It has also been reported that Jesus could be sold by the gunners making space for new striker along with helping in finance. However Arteta has denied all rumors about him leaving and his apperance in new kit launch may hint that Jesus would be staying in North London.
Another player who has been involved in photoshoot was Aaron Ramsdale. Ramsdale has been second choice keeper for Arteta’s side for a long time now. Ramsdale signed a contract extension just a year ago making him Arsenal player until 2026. However his future looks very uncertain and he may be seen making his way away from Emirates.
David Raya to be permanent Arsenal keeper
David Raya who is on loan move to North London seems to have taken place of Ramsdale. The spanish international is doing pretty well and maybe seen joining Arsenal on a permanant move this summer. Brentford have demanded £27 million for Raya. It would be interesting to see how Arsenal will approach the transfer market in upcoming days.
