PREMIER LEAGUE AND BORNA SOSA TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to Daily Mail, two Premier League teams are reportedly interested in signing Borna Sosa. Sosa is also keen on leaving Stuggart. Manchester City were also keen on signing him after selling Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal. They also lost out on Marc Cucurella. Marc Cucurella joined Chelsea after City could not agree on a fee with Brighton.

Hence, City were monitoring his situation. Although, it seems Pep Guardiola has decided on a different plan. The Champions are now closing in on the signing of Anderlecht defender Sergio Gomez. However, there is still a chance that Sosa will end up in the Premier League. Another two teams in the form of West Ham and Newcastle United have shown interest in the left-back.

WHY DO WEST HAM AND NEWCASTLE UNITED WANT TO SIGN HIM?

West Ham reportedly wants to add competition in the left-back position. They have only Aaron Cresswell as a recognized left-back in the first-team squad. David Moyes also thinks Sosa can help them reach the top 4 in the League table. The left-back is known for his runs up and down the pitch which is going to impress David Moyes.

However, the interest of Newcastle United is a little confusing. They already have three players that can play in the position. Although, Eddie Howe is still looking to add quality players to the first-team squad. Hence, the signing of Sosa might still make sense. However, it looks like West Ham are reportedly leading the race for the left-back.

Whatever happens, one thing might be certain Borna Sosa is going to play in the Premier League. Sosa joined Stuggart in the summer of 2018. He has since helped the club avoid relegation. Last season, he made 28 appearances and scored 1 goal, and provided 8 assists.
