Arsenal defender Rob Holding impressed coaching staff with an exquisite skill during the training session at United States.

Arsenal shared a video, in which players are participating in a series of small sided games. Manager Mikel Arteta was training his team for their latest pre-season friendly against MLS All-Stars.

Their training worked off and Gunners won the match 5:0. Kai Havertz scored his first goal for Arsenal colours, while Jurrien Timber had a brilliant outing as a defender.

However, one player who was left on the bench was Rob Holding. The centre-back has lost his place in starting eleven after Timber’s arrival.

Holding has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. But he impressed everyone with his exquisite skill during training session and it was not something you expect from a centre-back.

In a video, team-mate Keiran Tierney passes a through ball into Rob Holding’s path to set him up for a goal.

Arsenal coaching staff were amazed to see that piece of skill. Holding pulls off a brilliant roulette to out beat Ben White, before shooting towards the far corner.

Coaching staff were thrilled on the sidelines and cam be heard cheering when beats his man. But due to his groin problem his effort on goal went wide.

Holding was a dependable back up last season for Arsenal after William Saliba’s injury. However he struggled to take that responsibility in the side, particularly he was asked play out from the back.

After last season’s disappointment, Holding’s technical ability is one to look for when he is not under pressure. But it will be interesting to see wheather he stays at the club in these coming weeks.
