Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has given latest update on Manchester United’s takeover stance as Sir Jim Ratcliffe have agreed a deal.

As per reports, Ratcliffe have mada bid around £1.5 billion to acquire minority stake of the club. The British Billionaire will aquire 25% stake in United from Glazer family.

According to The Telegraph, the 70-year-old who is boyhood supporter of United have negotiated a special clause. It will allow him to control footballing operations at Old Trafford.

However, Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim has withdrawn his bid as he wanted a full takeover of United through his Nine Two Foundation. Middle-east takeover looked quite eminent for Red Devils previously.

Meanwhile, according to The Athletic, United’s borad members will vote on Ratcliffe’s takeover through a meeting later this week. But decision have to be made very quickly by the club officials.

Sky Sports reporter claims Ratcliffe can aquire 100% of United in future

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol gives his update on United’s takeover reports. He said :-

“The Glazers ultimately are going to do what is best for them. At the moment, they believe the best thing to do is to sell 25 per cent of Manchester United to Sir Jim Ratcliffe for around £1.3 billion.

“If he wants to buy the whole of United, and if the deal he signs with the Glazers guarantees they will sell the rest of their shares to him for a set price in the future, then there is a path to him owning 100 per cent of Manchester United.

“Then, I think a lot of United fans will be happy. Sir Jim Ratcliffe ticks a lot of boxes – he’s a self-made billionaire, he’s a United supporter, he was born not far from Old Trafford. He’s a local lad who’s done well, he’s one of the richest people in the UK.

“No United fan is dancing in the streets of Manchester at the moment, because I think the majority of them wanted a clean break from the Glazers. That is not happening at the moment.”
