According to several reports, Erling Haaland might be considering writing off Real Madrid’s name for his future destination, as he wants to be a leader in his next club. Haaland is going to be the star man in the next summer transfer window with top European clubs going crazy to sign him. Among those Real Madrid are also a possibility, but Haaland might snub Madrid’s interest if Kylian Mbappe joins Los Blancos.
Haaland is in the form of his life despite just being a 21-year-old, scoring 70 goals in 68 appearances. Following which there should be no doubt why the so-called superpowers of European football are keeping tabs on the youngster.
But Borussia Dortmund are still hanging on to the possibility to retain Haaland’s services for some more time. However, it looks somewhat impossible for Dortmund as some big offers might dwell on Haaland’s mind to leave next season.
Earlier reports suggested, that Haaland is considering signing for Real Madrid, agreeing to join them in a pre-agreement. But current rumors indicate that Haaland no longer considers Real Madrid a future destination for his career. However, the idea might change if Madrid agrees to project him as their future leader.
Currently, Real Madrid’s only focus in the transfer market is to sign Kylian Mbappe, which is planned for two years. While the Frenchman has also dreamed of signing for the Spanish giants and looked forward to doing so next season. Following which Haaland is considering not to play with Mbappe, thinking he will lose his leadership role upfront.
Haaland has still many options depsite snubbing Real Madrid
It is not like Real Madrid are only capable of signing Erling Haaland, as there is huge competition awaiting for signing the forward. There is not a single big-money club that is not interested in signing Haaland, as the list includes names of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, etc. But only one club will win the race as we wait for the next summer transfer window.
Manchester City are in need of a forward as they let leave Sergio Aguero this summer. However, they tried to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane. But Spurs were not ready to let go of him despite a 150 million deal. Following which in current season, City has to play without a proper number 9 in the upfront. But next season they might go all out for Haaland, where they would also find their city rivals Manchester United in the race.
PSG is also a possible destination for Haaland as Mbaape looks determined to leave as a free agent. While the new richest club Newcastle United are also looking for a possibility to get Haaland’s signature next summer.
