Well it seems impossible for a transfer window to shut before Chelsea has some naive surprises. It gets chaotic every year for the West Londoners so why will this year be any different? It is a puzzling transfer from Juventus’s standpoint as their number one priority is to win the league title. At present, they’re obviously out of Europe suffering that one-year UEFA ban. So they’re moving every step ahead with a very single-minded focus to lift the Serie A. Apart from Lukaku’s hot and cold year for Inter last champions league season, Juventus shall re-think about giving up a 23-year-old at the peak of his powers. Lukaku-Vlahovic swap paused as Vlahovic seems a bit reluctant to join the blues.

The bigger picture of the Lukaku-Vlahovic swap:
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the blues were 15 million short of Juve’s 40 million demand for the Serbian. Chelsea is not alone in the hunt for the Serbian forward as Real Madrid also shows interest. However, they sign Joselu earlier this summer after talisman Karim Benzema left the club. If you take a closer look at the deal, if Chelsea gets rid of Lukaku and manages to steal Vlahovic, it looks like a win-win from Chelsea’s perspective. But for the Italian giants, it doesn’t make sense. Lukaku-Vlahovic swap is getting deeper than it is supposed to. The 23-year-old reportedly believes that the Blue’s project is ‘as expensive as it’s nebulous’. Which certainly sounds clear enough to kill the deal. Reportedly, Lukaku is rumored to be more of a target for Tottenham Hotspurs. While the fate of the Serbian star is still not clear.
